When you look up at the night’s sky, what do you see? Indigenous star stories are not just stories of “higher beings” and their often-amorous encounters but were seen as part of an all-encompassing perspective of life and spirituality. To the Anishinaabe, stars are animate because they move and have a spirit. Knowledge Keeper Tina Steven is excited to share her wisdom on indigenous constellations so you can learn to understand the greater sacred meaning of the indigenous star stories and why the stars are extremely important to providing an important moral, or way to live one’s life.
