Urge your MP to support the No Loopholes Bill to cut off flow of weapons to Israel

The No More Loopholes Act will go to a vote in Parliament at the end of February. The critical window to act to pressure MPs to vote for it is right now.

Please write to your Member of Parliament to support the No Loopholes Bill (Bill 233).

This legislation is about standing up for peace, human rights and justice. It is about making sure that Canadian weapons are never used to harm the very values we claim to defend, and it is about showing the world that Canada will live up to its commitments.
Jenny Kwan

MP Jenny Kwan introduced this private member’s bill in September 2025 to close dangerous gaps in Canada’s arms export laws that allow Canadian-made weapons parts to be shipped through the U.S. and on to Israel and other conflict zones without oversight.

The bill, now in second reading, will come up for vote in late February. Together let’s ensure that this bill moves forward and becomes law!

Join or organize your local Day of Action to Stop the Loopholes – February 17

Take part in and/or help organize the nationwide Day of Action to Stop the Loopholes on Monday, February 17. Thank you to Arms Embargo Now for their leadership on these actions.

Bring banners and signs to show your support as KAIROS and churches and be a part of the movement to make the No Loopholes Act into law.

We hope for visible KAIROS and church presence at these rallies and these campaigns. This is part of advocacy for a comprehensive arms embargo against Israel and our commitment to just peace in Palestine and Israel. It is a clear expression of the bold and courageous solidarity that we are being called to do. Details to come.

For more than three years, KAIROS has called on the Canadian government to act with moral leadership and courage to end the genocide in Gaza and the silent genocide which is unfolding in the West Bank – including putting an end to illegal settlement expansion.

For much of that time, KAIROS – with churches and other civil society organizations – has also urged Canada to end arms transfer to Israel and, most recently, to commit to a comprehensive arms embargo against Israel.
