Human rights group, B’tselem – Israeli Information Centre for Human Rights, a Kairos solidarity partner, has released a new report – the Elimination Project: Israel’s Systematic Dismantling of Palestinian Collective Life in the West Bank.
The report is a chilling documentation of the systemic violence and intimidation, movement restrictions, economic strangulation, social and political destruction, and ethnic cleansing and territorial takeover experienced by Palestinians in West Bank. This is the nightmarish situation that our Palestinian partners tell us about, often referring to it as the silent genocide. It is the basis of our advocacy with the Canadian government for stronger sanctions against the state of Israel.
We commit to using this report to strengthen our urgent call to the Canadian government for a complete end to political, financial and military support that contributes to the state of Israel’s serious and systematic violations of international law.
