Join us in a walk for peace!
We will gather in Queen’s Park where St. Joseph St. meets Queen’s Park Crescent and an entrance to Queen’s Park. Our gathering time is November 11, 2 p.m. The White Poppy for Peace will be a central part of our event, distributing the Poppies while in the Park and then in a Walk down University Ave., stopping at the U.S. Consulate, and then on to the Peace Garden and the Spirit Garden at City Hall. The Walk should end at 4 p.m.
We will have White Poppies to distribute. Anyone joining the Walk can bring signs speaking of Peace and Nonviolence. We will have some talks, and there will be singing of Peace Songs.
We would love to have you join us, and, as mentioned above, you can pass the word on to any other groups, movements you believe might wish to take part. Please do reach out to Palestinian and Jewish groups you know. Pax Christi Toronto will refer to our faith perspective, but that does not exclude any other group who joins us in a common desire for a world of peace, justice and nonviolence.
Longing for Peace and an End to War!
