For the Love of Creation calls Canadians to pray as world leaders and concerned citizens gather at the COP31 climate conference in Antalya, Turkey, Nov 9-20.
Despite increasingly clear evidence of the climate emergency and compounding threats to democracy, environmental and human rights, leaders across the world and particularly in Canada are failing to take the decisive action needed.
Join climate activists and people of faith for a candle-lit vigil to pray for all those gathered at COP31 and for their deliberations. We call for an Economy of Life where all people and the natural world are flourishing.
Gather in front of the Mary Ward Centre, 70 St Mary St where we will hand out candles and signs. Walk together to Queen’s Park (North of legislature) where we will hold a short program of prayer and responsive reading.
RSVP here. Bring your friends and colleagues! Dress for the weather.
