Alfredo collaborates with partners around the world, bringing the KAIROS Blanket Exercise to their territories. Together, they work to build relationships of solidarity for justice, truth and reconciliation. Born in Kuskatan, a Maya, Nahuat– Pipil, Lenca and Kakawira territory, known as El Salvador, Alfredo moved to Canada as refugee in 1985. Music as a tool for social change is an integral part of his life. Alfredo speaks Spanish and English. Honouring his ancestors and guided by Elder Native Nahuat speakers and educators, Alfredo studies Nahuat, the last remaining Indigenous language of Kuskatan.
